Departing from Gold Coast Airport, the initial climb will take you south tracking to the Beautiful Tweed River, here take in the amazing views south down to Byron Bay and north along the beautiful sun-kissed Gold Coast beaches to Surfers Paradise. On this Gold Coast Helicopter flight you will see the Cook Island aquatic reserve, a protected marine park discovered by “Captain James Cook” a famous English navigator in 1770, who named the Island “Cook Island” after nearly being ship wrecked in the area.
This marine park is home to a vast array or marine animals such as Dolphins, turtles, sharks and even whales during whale season. Make sure you have your camera ready!
You’ll then descend at Fingal Headland, rush North along the magnificent beaches, watching the local surfers at the famous Snapper Rocks, home of the “Quick Silver Pro” surfing contest, Kirra Beach and up to Bilinga, before banking the aircraft left and heading back home to Coolangatta.
