Towards the southeast of Broome is the Great Sandy Desert and The Edgar Ranges. Age old valleys and mountains pepper the region with magnificent contrasting colours throughout the landscape. When you are flying through the Great Sandy Desert your pilot will provide commentary of the area, history and cultural significance to the indigenous people.
One of the most incredible aspects of this flight and indeed any flight we do is that during the trip we actually land on top of one of the outcrops. (see pictures below) Jump out of the chopper and have a walk around on top on an age old monolith. After a short stop climb back on the chopper and enjoy the rest of the ride!
